Traffic Incident Reports

Etchingham Parish Council, anxious to try to do something about traffic and parking in the village, are compiling a record of incidents, to use as evidence that SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Have you seen, or been involved in, a traffic incident in Etchingham??

  1. I fully agree that something should be done. Vehicles large and small go up and down the High Street at unsafe speeds -
    I rarely see vehicles slowing down at or after the speed sign and it flashes for the majority of vehicles.
    Often vehicles are either going too fast to stop where the parked cars are, or just decide to go through anyway when something is approaching in the other direction which simply has the effect of narrowing the road and pushing the vehicles closer to the pavement.
    I walk along the High Street each morning and evening to/from the station and the speed and proximity of the vehicles gives me great concern for people's safety (far and above any issues recently raised about the pavement being lit).

  2. There are Traffic Incident Forms, and and collection boxes in the Etchingham Post Office and The Etchingham Community Stores.
